Olive Tree is one of my favorite songs all the time. The song tells you the story of a roamer who travels around the world in pursuit of his/her dream. SanMao, the best writer in my mind, wrote the lyrics.

《橄榄树》

词: 三毛
曲: 李泰祥
歌手:  齐豫

不要问我从哪里来
我的故乡在远方
为什么流浪
流浪远方 流浪

为了天空飞翔的小鸟
为了山间轻流的小溪
为了宽阔的草原
流浪远方 流浪

还有还有
为了梦中的橄榄树 橄榄树
不要问我从哪里来
我的故乡在远方
为什么流浪
为什么流浪远方
为了我梦中的橄榄树

First, let's read the lyrics.

English lyrics:

There is a farmer, who walks on the road,
stranger,why do you wander?

Don't ask from where I have come,
my home is far,far away
Why do you wander so far,
wander so far,wander so far?
For the little bird free I wander,
for the meadow green and wide,
for the mountain high and blue
I wander,wander so far
Then,is there more?
Yes,for the olive tree of my dream.
Don't ask from where I have come,
my home is far,far away.
Why do you wander,
why do you wander so far,far away?
For ~~the~~O~~live tree of my dream.
Don't ask from where I have come,
my home is far,far away,
why do you wander so far,
wander so far,wander so far

Usage of 地 part two

In the previous class, we talked about the usage of this character 地 when it makes the dì sound and it has the meaning like earth, ground, or region.
In this video, we will cover the basic usage of this character when it makes de sound, and it becomes a structural particle.
Since 的 and  地 has the same sound, even many Chinese people get confused about them. They may just say:"It's not important. I don't care. " And I often see people use them in the wrong place. Most time people just use 的 for everything.
But if you are learning Chinese seriously, master the usage of these two characters will be very helpful for your reading and writing.
